The 100: Season 2 promo spots

Here are three spots I scored for the season 2 launch of the CW's sci-fi series, "The 100."

I made some pretty gnarly sounds with a violin (intentionally bordering on sound design). Below are the promos, along with the isolated scores. Please enjoy!

"Empty Spaces"

"Origami"

"White Room"

As a "bonus," here's the original "proof of concept" demo of the theme. It obviously got scaled back quite a bit in the end -- in terms of length, harmony, counterpoint. The theme started as a setting of a funeral/last rites text from the series:

"In peace may you leave the shore
In love may you find the next
 Safe passage in your travels
until our final journey to the ground"

CULT: The Pied Piper (Alternate Score Mix)

Here's the awesome "Pied Piper" trailer, with my original score (a variation on "Hymn to Billy Grimm."

1.27 Hours

During Slamdance 2011, Andrew Putschoegl, Tom Lenk and I participated in a 48-hour film competition.  This film -- parodying a then-current Best Picture nominee -- was the result.  (Andy edited to a track I provided, which I then rewrote to timings the morning it was due.)

Instrumental Variation on "Hymn to Billy Grimm"

Here's an instrumental variation on the "Hymn to Billy Grimm."  Enjoy!

Hymn to Billy Grimm

Here's the "Hymn to Billy Grimm," composed for the launch campaign for the new CW series, "Cult."

I was a lost and troubled soul
until he came and made me whole
and I'll forever follow him
I give my life to Billy Grimm

This world, it had no place for me
until he came and set me free
and now I owe my world to him
I owe my life to Billy Grimm

I lived my life bereft of sight
until I bathed in his warm light
and I would kill or die for him
I'd give my life for Billy Grimm

Some CULT Music

A spot I scored for the upcoming CW show, "Cult."  You can also hear hints of this theme in the Alan Dale-narrated "Pied Piper" trailer for the show:

I'll post the full "Hymn to Billy Grimm" shortly...

Hello, Caller

Here's a great little short I scored for Andrew Putschoegl (director), Tom Lenk (writer/star), and Tara Karsian ("Candrea").  The film received a great reception at Slamdance 2011, South By Southwest, and a couple dozen other festivals.  Below is the trailer, which features my composition, "Flight Patterns."
